The next meeting of the BC Humanist Association is tomorrow (Friday, January 11, 2002) at the Seniors Centre in Oakridge Mall, 513 - 650 West 41st Avenue, Vancouver.  I am a member and I will be attending.  Guests are always welcome.  Their website is http://www.vcn.bc.ca/humanist/ .  You will find links to other atheist groups there.

Who is interested in a mission to Kansas to burn some Bibles on a church's front lawn? Bibles outnumber Harry Potter books about 1000:1. This is mainly due to the fact that many Christians have many copies of the Bible. You got your 40lb lectern crushers down to your pocket sized and even thimble sized. You got your NIV, KJV, NKJV, ASV, etc. Then there are your biblical scholars (people who went to Trinity Western) who have bibles in many languages, Hebrew, Ancient Greek, Latin. The world could stand to be without a few thousand of them! I personally got an extra to spare for the fire, but I will keep my trusty NKJV for future refutations.
