Well, here's a change for you, I don't believe there is such a thing as an
atheist.
So you say, how can I not believe something like that -- obviously they
exist, I mean, if someone says they don't believe in God then they must be
an atheist. Well that's not really true. Anyone who is so willing to stage
something to fight the existence of God, must deep down inside know that he
exists [there is only one]. And if he exists, then they have been living a
lifestyle they know is opposed to what God says it should be -- this is why
atheists (such as yourself) are so adament that there is no God. really,
you
know there is -- you just don't want to admit it.
All I'm saying is that you don't know who God really is. If you did, you
would never have such a problem with his existence. God is not some disease
as you say, rather he gives hope to many people who have none otherwise
(yourself included). Even if you do not believe he exists (which if you
look
deep down and take the time to search your heart, I'm sure you find that
you
do), you cannot deny the fact that the thought of his existence alone is
enough to have a huge positive influence on people's lives. People who
believe and follow christian morals do not encounter problems with the law,
there lives have hope and they are happy even when things around them
aren't
going well -- why, they believe in a God who is in control of there
lives.
Personally, I 100% know that there is a God and he loves me (and you --
even
though you "don't believe in him"). All he wants is us to come and spend
time getting close to him. He doesn't place rules and regulations on us, he
loves us unconditionally.
Now, I'm not some crackpot religious fanatic. I simply stumbled upon your
site when I was trying to gather stats from Statistics Canada and
mistakenly
hate mail, because that's not what this is. I just wanted to let you know
what I feel.
I think you have been hurt in the past by religion and that's why you take
out your anger on the church. We are not all fanatics that believe things
blindly. We are not uneducated dolts who believe everything we hear. I
personally am enrolled in University (third year) and am working for a
police agency in Nova Scotia.
God is real -- you believe it deep down, just try to think of him
differently than you were taught/told in the past. he is not a commanding,
thundering God who is waiting to send you to hell. He loves you and just
wants you to try to get to know him -- that's why we were
created.
