I hate to inform you, but your speaking out against religion with such fervor makes you just as much of a bigot as anyone involved with religion.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm particularly glad that you have yours, but why do you feel the need to force it upon others?

You feel that you are above any sort of religion, that you are a so-called Ubermensch -- what if other people aren't??  Why can't people have a sense of faith, and believe in something holy if there is nothing else to believe in??

Wearing no-god pins?? That is extremely ludicruous, and especially so in reference to the cross.  People wear crosses because it is part of their life, and it makes them feel complete.  Wearing a 'no-god' pin merely aggravates the situation, and sets up for religious confrontations with devout believers.  I think you are just looking for a fight... you are a deluded individual who has resorted to shock therapy to make your life seem worthwhile.

And how dare you declare yourself the "Athiest Messiah"??  You renounce the existence of a God, and declare that people should move on and laugh at religion, then you go and declare yourself holier than all the people... what a joke.

For anyone in pain or sorrow or need, God is there.  Why take that away from people?  Whether He exists or not, none of us will ever know in this life.  Personally, I don't believe in God.  I think that every person should have their own faith, and believe what they want to believe.  If God is for some people, then that's great for them.  He's not for me, and he's obviously not for you.  But this anti-dogmatic stance makes you just as putrid as the Christian missionaries pursing the Indians in the New World.  Other people have different belief systems... get used to it.  Accept it, and don't force anything upon them.

Looking forward to pontificating over your response,

Jeff W******

PS - Darwin, as your email suggests, does not fit with your inane theories.  Despite the fact that he discovered 'evolution' (if such a thing can be discovered), he was a devout religious follower, and was so until his death.  It is only post-modern quacks who have ignored certain parts of his work to meet their ends.  Have you read 'The Origin of Species'?  Have you read 'The Bible?'  Gee, I know that you're better than everyone, but it's better to have a basis of fact before you go spouting off opinions.
